Just a quick update: I apologise for the infrequency of the blog posts, but I have been working on the release of our first book. Wilderness Life DIY: A City Family Bumbles Towards Self-Sufficiency is ALMOST ready to be published.
This book describes the beginnings of our adventure in rural Tasmania and the building of the cabin where we lived for 5 years. We had never built anything before, so it was our biggest learning experience. It was also a period of experimentation for us, where we tried out a lot of ideas we had read about in self-sufficiency style books.
We’re pretty happy with the cover image. If you look closely (and enlarge the image), you can see someone inside our cabin. We didn’t notice him while we were taking the photo six years ago. It reminds me a bit of the story of the little girl trapped in the painting in Roald Dahl’s book The Witches, but though our son looks pensive, I am sure he was fine!
If you haven’t already registered your interest in our book, please make sure you do so. I will be uploading excerpts shortly so you get an idea of its content. Woo hoo!
Of course I want a sign copy xxxx
